Emirates adds frequencies to 5 Middle East cities

Emirates will add 12 weekly flights to five Middle East cities from July 1, bringing the total number of weekly services across the region up to 197.

Destinations to benefit are Kuwait, receiving two extra flights to become 28 weekly; Amman getting two to become 14; Damascus with three to become 14; Doha with four to become 32; and Sanaa with one to become seven.

Airbus A330s will be used on the routes.

“The demand for service to these regional gateways has never been stronger,” said Ahmed Khoory, Emirates‚ senior vice-president, Gulf, Middle East and Iran. The Middle East continues to be one of Emirates‚ most important markets.”

The Dubai-based carrier currently serves 14 cities in the Gulf region.
