Asiana Airlines will fly daily between Seoul and New York starting May 28. It currently flies five times weekly.
Sharp travel demand since the recent start of the Visa Waiver Programme between South Korea and the US, the imminent peak summer season and the carrier's planned expansion initiatives in the North American market are responsible for the move.
Asiana will be operating a Boeing B747-400, which has 246 seats equipped with the newly upgraded premium cocoon seats as well as individual AVOD systems in all classes.
