Hotels roll out more deals and openings

Accor is offering guests, staying for three nights at hotels under the brands of Sofitel, Pullman, MGallery, Grand Mercure, Novotel, Mercure, all seasons or Ibis in Australia between May 11 and August 31, the chance for a free night’s accommodation. In the “Stay Three, Return for Free” promotion, perks include dining benefits and a six-month membership in the chain’s Advantage Plus loyalty programme promising a free night’s stay, plus a guaranteed 10 percent discount on the best available rate during the six month-period. Restaurants in the hotel brands mentioned are also giving away up to 50 percent discounts.

JW Marriott Bangkok is offering the “One Night in Bangkok” package with rates starting from THB7,800 (US$225) per room nightly. Perks include accommodation for two, buffet breakfast for two at the Marriott Cafe, set dinner for two (food only) at Nami Japanese Restaurant and special turndown amenities on the first and last night (if staying for more than one night). It’s valid until May 31, based on a minimum one-night stay. 

Shangri-La Hotel Shenzhen is offering a “Dine and Stay for Free” package valid till June 28 with rates starting from CNY499 (US$73) per person. This includes a three-course dinner for two at 360° Bar, Restaurant & Lounge and a one-night stay in a Superior Room on any holiday or weekend from Friday to Sunday with a late check-out until 1800.

Westin Beijing Financial Street of Starwood Hotels & Resorts has a special offer, marking the 10th anniversary of its iconic “Heavenly Bed”product. Guests can get it for free, but they must first chalk up 10 room nights, staying at a rate of CNY1,800 (US$264) a night, as well as purchase 10 night vouchers. For more details:


The Ascott Group will manage the new 282-unit Ascott Shanghai, which opens next year in time for the 84th World Expo. It forms part of the Hongkong Plaza and is located a short walk from the popular leisure precinct of Xintiandi.

The Langham Yangtze Boutique in Shanghai has opened with 96 rooms and suites. Free opening perks include a drink from the bar, breakfast and high-speed internet access for the first two months.

Radisson Hotels and Resorts of Carlson Hotels Worldwide will open the 120-room Radisson Hotel Bangkok Sathorn later this year. It will provide meetings and business facilities, event halls and recreational facilities.

Doubletree Suites by Hilton Ras Al Khaimah will debut in early 2010 in the UAE. It will feature 112 apartments with all the modern amenities such as an all-day dining restaurant and bar, boardroom, business centre, high-speed internet access, a swimming pool and fitness centre.
