THAI opens up Oslo route

5 May 2009

THAI Airways International is to use its spare long-haul capacity to open a new Bangkok-Oslo route.

Following the cutting of THAI’s non-stop Bangkok-New York route last year, four Airbus A340-500s had been lying idle but will now be used for the new services.

THAI will start the five-times-a-week Bangkok-Oslo service on June 15. This will make the airline the only carrier operating between Southeast Asia and the Norwegian capital. It adds to THAI’s existing Scandinavian services, which include Stockholm and Copenhagen.
