Visitors to Singapore can choose from a myriad of accommodation options catering for every budget and style, including 10 new hotels, all opening this year.
Properties that have opened include the economy Ibis Singapore on Bencoolen, the all-inclusive boutique hotel Quincy and the luxury Capella on Sentosa Island.
Other soon-to-open properties include Park Hotel Clarke Quay (on May 1), home-grown brand Santa Grand Hotel at Bugis, Park Regis Hotel by Australia’s StayWell Hospitality Group and Marina Bay Sands Hotel with three towers offering 2,600 rooms.
“Singapore has increasingly become an expensive city to visit and opening the first Ibis fills the demand for affordable quality accommodation,” said Evan Lewis, vice-president communications, Asia-Pacific, Accor Hospitality.
“The integrated resorts (Marina Bay Sands and Resorts World at Sentosa) that are presently being constructed will, of course, significantly increase the number of rooms in Singapore and bring large events to the city. Attendees of these events will seek accommodation across all categories of accommodation, from economy to luxury.”
