Custom-made stays at the Shangri-La

Travellers staying in any Shangri-La hotel worldwide now have the choice of tailoring their own hotel package according to their personal preferences, if they make their reservation on the group website at

Said to be the first-of-its-kind, the “CustomStay” is open to guests who book online and choose the “best available rate”. After choosing the preferred room category, a range of optional services and benefits such as airport transfers, dining credits, buffet breakfast, laundry and spa treatments among others can be added to complete a customised package.

“We are responding to a market that expects greater selection, flexibility and personalisation,” said Kent Zhu, group director of sales and marketing. “Guests now have complete control to their hotel stay options and pricing flexibility, and we are thrilled  to be able to offer them this level of convenience and freedom of choice.”

Unlike traditional hotel packages, guests booking on CustomStay are not forced to pay for extra services and benefits that are not required. Moreover, the more options a guest chooses, he gets more savings.
