Free upgrades on Singapore Airlines

26 Mar 2009

From now until June 30, passengers flying with Singapore Airlines (SIA) can earn Special Upgrade Points in addition to KrisFlyer miles accrued on the completed journey.

The special upgrade offer is available only to members of SIA’s KrisFlyer frequent-flyer programme.

At least 25,000 Special Upgrade Points (or one Special Upgrade Voucher) entitle passengers to a free upgrade on one round-trip flight, applicable for travel from Singapore to other selected Asian destinations, Australia, New Zealand, Africa and Turkey. At least 30,000 points must be earned for upgrade on flights from Singapore to other selected Asian destinations, Australia, New Zealand, Africa and Europe, while at least 40,000 points are needed for travel from Singapore to anywhere in the SIA network.

Passengers travelling to Singapore can also use the vouchers when they travel from selected destinations in Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Africa, Turkey, Europe and North America.

KrisFlyer members with more than 50,000 points can choose from multiple upgrade vouchers.

Bookings for flights using upgrade vouchers must be made between July 16 and November 29, 2009 and travel to be completed by November 30.
