Ritz-Carlton opens in Shenzhen

Luxury hotel brand Ritz-Carlton has opened its latest property in China, the Ritz-Carlton Shenzhen in the southern province of Guangdong.

Located in the Futian Central Business District close to the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Centre, the hotel is the sixth Ritz-Carlton branded property to open in China, joining two hotels in Beijing, as well as properties in Shanghai, Guangzhou and Sanya.

There are 282 room in total, of which 43 are suites, including the Ritz-Carlton Suite which measures 446sqm and has a two-storey entrance, its own steam room, spa bath, study, library and games room. All rooms feature wired and wifi internet access, iPod docking stations, flatscreen TVs, and DVD players, and most have free-standing bathtubs.

The hotel has four restaurants and two bars, including all-day dining Flavorz, Chinese eatery Xingli, Italian restaurant Paletto, the poolside Leaves, and Onyz Lounge in the hotel’s atrium. There is a roof garden on the fifth floor with an outdoor swimming pool, terrace and spa bath, and the 1,300-sqm spa and fitness centre has six treatment rooms, a gym and a yoga studio. For meetings there is a total of 1,319sqm of function space, including a 608-sqm grand ballroom, divisible into three rooms and capable of accommodating up to 600 delegates.

The hotel forms part of the mixed-use Galaxy Ritz-Carlton Hotel & Office Complex, and is located next to a metro station serving the city’s two main underground lines.
