Airlines and train operators join in Red Nose Day

British Airways has painted the cones of three of its aircraft with a shiny red nose, while CrossCountry trains has dones the same on its service between Plymouth and Edinburgh.

BA has painted the cone on one of its Boeing 747 jumbos, as well as two short-haul aircraft, and is inviting passengers to upload pictures of the planes via its Twitter site at twitter.com/britishairways.

Meanwhile CrossCountry trains has put a red nose on the front of its service between Plymouth and Edinburgh, and is collecting donations onboard the service.
