The Shilla Seoul – one of the Korean capital’s best-known hotels and often, the address of visiting statesmen and celebrities – is marking its 30th year in business with a year-long promotional campaign.

Kicking off with the Leaders Club Gold Award 30th Anniversary Special Offer, the hotel is pricing Deluxe rooms at 270,000 won (US$176), Grand Deluxe rooms at 300,000 won (US$196), Executive Deluxe rooms at 320,000 won (US$209) and Executive Grand Deluxe at 350,000 (US$288) with room upgrades on availability, complimentary airport limousine service, daily breakfast, free internet access and welcome fruit and chocolate.

Until May 3, members of the Shilla Seoul’s frequent guest programme Dynasty Rewards can enter a lucky draw.

In recent years, the 465-room property, owned by South Korean chaebol (conglomerate) Samsung, has been undergoing a makeover, which has refreshed the lobby and dining areas such as the lobby lounge and cafe as well as the meeting spaces.

Set on a 9.29ha private parkland, the hotel enjoys views of Mount Namsan and boasts a  sculpture garden featuring the works of renowned local artists. The Shilla Seoul has a sister property The Shilla Cheju on Cheju Island, a popular tourist destination.
