Cheval Group buys global booking engine

18 Feb 2009 by Sara Turner

London-based serviced apartment provider Cheval Group has expanded its portfolio after buying an international serviced apartment and hotel booking agency, Reside International.

Reside runs a 24-hour online bookings service for more than 100,000 hotels and serviced apartments world-wide, as well as flights and car rentals.

Richard Cruise, Reside’s director, said: “Trying to organise a business trip when you are tied-up with work commitments can be stressful. Reside International aims to simplify the process by providing one port of call for booking a hotel, serviced apartment, flight and airport transfer.

“We also hold the clients’ hand, if necessary, so they simply need to turn up at the appointed place, sit back and enjoy the break, rather than doing all the legwork themselves.”

The privately-owned Cheval Group also has 286 apartments across six individual properties, catering for short and long-term stays, in London, in Knightsbridge, Kensington, Chelsea and the City.
