Von Essen has announced that its new-build hotel attached to The London Heliport in Battersea will open in the autumn under the name Hotel Verta.
The hotel group says that the 70 rooms and suites at the property will be furnished in a “classically modern style each with original artwork and the finest, bespoke fittings”. All-day dining eatery Patrisey Restaurant (an Anglo-Saxon name for Battersea) will feature traditional English and modern European dishes, while The Vertilon Bar will be situated on the bank of the river. Leisure facilities include Falconbrook Spa, with sanarium, heated lounges, steam room, sauna, gym and signature spa treatments.
For meetings there will be seven function rooms and a ballroom accommodating between 12 and 200 delegates, as well as a “conference café”. The hotel itself will form part of the revamped London Heliport on the south bank of the River Thames, and will be Von Essen’s first London hotel, as well as the first property in its new Metropolitan Set.
