A series of wine appreciation work shops is now in full swing at Hilton Sanya Resort & Spa for 40 team members of its food and beverage department.
Experts from leading wine importers in China such as Aussino, Summergate and MHD are providing background on wine culture and wine making techniques as well sharing a tips on matching wines with the hotel’s cuisine.
Besides the lectures, the staff experience blind tasting sessions and learning about the art of being a sommelier. General manager Jean Pierre Mainardi, himself a winner of wine master competitions in Belgium, said: “We hope through this campaign, our team members will be wealthier in the wine field and enhance their service standards.” Mainardi also leads some of the discussions.
