Concorde Hotel Singapore, the former Le Meridien Singapore, is to undergo a major refurbishment as part of its rebranding to a four-star business hotel in the central Orchard Road area.
The revamp is expected to be completed by 2010 and will see updated suites and rooms with upgraded amenities.
Andrew Khoo, the new general manager, said: “For the first phase in the refurbishment plan, the number of Premier Rooms will increase from 53 to 124 rooms. This will be a boon to the corporate travellers and to conference delegates. Guests of Premier Rooms can expect a classy new Premier Lounge for private check-ins as well as the privileges of comfort and refreshments. In addition, the lounge will feature computer work stations with complimentary Internet access. This will provide a convenient place to get some work completed if they so require.”
