Emirates cuts fares on China routes

7 Nov 2008

Emirates Airline has cut prices on a range of its Business and Economy Class fares, for tickets issued in China, to a number of destinations worldwide.

For tickets issued on routes starting from Beijing, the fare reduction will start at 36 per cent onwards and will be applicable on 56 selected Emirates flights, including those to Amman, Doha, Dubai, Munich, London, Paris and Johannesburg.

Emirates is also offering passengers departing Guangzhou and Shanghai discounts to several destinations in the Middle East, Europe, Africa and South America.

Edwin Lau, Emirates’ vice-president, Greater China, said: “Demand for Emirates’ flights has remained robust, but we are glad to be able to introduce fare revisions in tandem with the lowering fuel prices. We believe that our latest round of revisions would be welcomed by our customers, particularly in light of the increasingly challenging economic climate.”
