Honouring service excellence

18 Sep 2008

Nearly 400 travel and hospitality professionals gathered yesterday to celebrate service excellence at the 2008 Business Traveller Asia-Pacific Awards.

Held for the eighth consecutive year at Conrad Hotel Hongkong, the luncheon ceremonies revealed the results of an annual Readers’ Poll. Fifty-two awards were handed out in the city, hotel and serviced apartment and airline categories.

The Chi Heng Foundation, which provides education for thousands of AIDS-impacted Chinese children, was the 26-year-old publication’s beneficiary for a Silent Auction of travel products and services for the third year running. Popular chanteuse Frances Yip,  patron of the organisation, was guest of honour.
