Etihad Airways has opened a new business class lounge at Abu Dhabi’s T1, as part of an overhaul of premium services at the airport.
The new lounge is situated on the first floor of the terminal building, and features wifi internet access, a library, relaxation zone, electronic games room and a smoker’s lounge.
There is also a business centre, and a gallery showcasing work by local Arab artists, as well as a “well-being” spa with treatments including facials, and foot and leg massages.
The opening of the lounge follows the addition of a first class lounge at the terminal earlier this year, and the two facilities triple the size of the previous lounge offering at T1, with a total capacity for 200 guests.
All flights into and out of Abu Dhabi airport currently use Terminal 1 – a second terminal will open later this year, also with premium business and first class lounges.
