Hilton announces Beijing airport hotel

23 Apr 2008 by Mark Caswell

Hilton is to open a property attached to Beijing Capital airport’s new Terminal 3 this summer.

The 324-room hotel will feature five restaurants, a lobby lounge, piano bar, 800sqm ballroom, health club, swimming pool and spa facilities, with guest rooms a minimum of 40sqm.

The Hilton Beijing Capital Airport will join the forthcoming Langham Place Beijing Capital Airport Hotel at the recently opened Terminal 3, and will also be located close to the new China International Exhibition Centre. Beijing Capital’s T3 opened in March and is the world’s largest terminal, with a floor space of over one million square metres, and an annual capacity of 40 million passengers.

The new Hilton will be the fourth in Beijing, with two other Hilton core brand properties already in the city, and a Doubletree by Hilton due for later this year. Future additions in China include the Conrad Shanghai later this year, the Hilton Chengdu in 2009, and the Conrad Beijing in 2010.
