As reported in the February issue of Business Traveller (click here for full story), the five-star deluxe Tiara Hotels and Resorts is debuting this year on Palm Jumeirah in Dubai. The 15 storey, 309-room property promises to be a stunning addition to Dubai’s hotel scene.
In an exclusive tour of the site, there was no mistaking the scale of the undertaking required to construct a property to this standard. Standing on the 14th floor on what will become the pool deck of the new Tiara resort, there are views over the entire resort and its beach. Landscaped gardens flanked by blocks of serviced residences are already beginning to appear along with numerous water features and paths leading to the pool, beach, club house (with spa and fitness centre) and ‘High Tide’ restaurant.
Across the resort there will be a total of nine food and beverage outlets, including a grill and an all day dining restaurant off the lobby with open kitchen. Further outlets are likely to be built nearby and managed by Tiara. Bedrooms will be spacious with an average of 60sqm and a maximum of 305sqm but details of their furnishings remain under wraps.
Tiara is aiming to have 15 hotels around the world in five years with their second due to open on Sheikh Zahed Road in late 2009. For more information visit www.tiara.com.
