Park Plaza Hotels has opened its largest hotel to date – the Park Plaza County Hall on London’s South Bank.
The £100m four-star hotel is the fifth Park Plaza-branded property in London, and features 398 rooms, split into superior, studio, junior suite and apartment categories. Park Plaza is referring to the property as an “apart-hotel”, falling somewhere between a hotel and serviced apartments, with studio rooms and above having kitchenettes.
All rooms feature flatscreen TVs, air conditioning, laptop safes and internet access, and those on higher levels have views of the River Thames and Houses of Parliament. Spectrum Restaurant will offer Mediterranean dishes in an area benefiting from “a colourful integrated lighting system generated from the hotel’s 14-floor exposed atrium”.
There are six meeting rooms, each with wifi internet access and capable of accommodating between 35 and 100 delegates theatre style, and a fitness centre with gym, sauna, steam room, monsoon showers and massage treatment facilities.
Opening rates at the hotel start from £89 at weekends and £149 midweek – visit parkplazacountyhall.com.
