Ibis rolls out in-room entertainment facilities and opens Nottingham property

23 Oct 2007 by Mark Caswell

Accor's budget hotel brand Ibis has extended its "Genesis" entertainment and internet package to all of its 48 UK hotels.

The service means guests can now access wired (and wifi where available) internet access, plus movies and music on-demand, for an all-in-one charge of £9.99 for 24 hours. The service is supplied by Quadriga, whose hotel partners include Best Western, Hilton, Intercontinental, Marriott, Rezidor SAS and Thistle among others.

Ibis is also kitting out all of its room with 20-inch LCD screen TVs, as part of the new room design being rolled out across the brand. One property to benefit from the facilities and new-generation design is the Ibis Nottingham Centre, which opened this week.

The hotel has 142 rooms and is located in the city centre, around 15 minutes from the mainline rail station. It forms part of The Pod, a multi-use development on Bottle Lane in the city centre, with the modern hotel building sitting atop retail and leisure space.
