Etihad increases flights from UK

23 Oct 2007 by Mark Caswell
Etihad Airways is to add a daily morning service to its London-Abu Dhabi route, starting this Sunday. The new flights will depart London Heathrow at 0930, arriving in Abu Dhabi at 2020 the same day.

The revised winter schedule means Etihad will increase the number of flights between the UK and Abu Dhabi to 26 per week. Note though that there has been some rescheduling of afternoon and evening services in the new timetable – the daily lunchtime flights that ran during the summer schedule have now been replaced by a four-weekly service departing at 1500 (arriving 0145 the next day) on Wed, Thurs, Fri and Sun, plus one Saturday service at 1320, arriving at 0005. The existing evening service will now depart slightly earlier at 2040 (2100 on Thursdays).

Etihad has also retimed three of its daily flights from Manchester to Abu Dhabi, with services on Tues, Thurs and Sat now leaving at 2020 and arriving at 0720 the next day. This means passengers based in the north now have the option of a morning (0920) flight on Mon, Wed, Fri and Sun, or this new evening service.
