The Sheraton Stockholm has completed a six-month overhaul of its 465 guest rooms, as well as opening a new restaurant, fitness centre and executive lounge.
The interiors of the five-star property have been designed by Alexandra Champalimaud (responsible for projects including the Berkeley Hotel in London and The Carlyle in New York), transforming the hotel's traditional dark interior into a 1940's Scandinavian look.
New facilities include Sheraton Threesixty°, the hotel's redesigned restaurant and bar, as well as 61 Sheraton Club rooms and lounge on the seventh floor, and a 24-hour, 120sqm fitness centre.
The Sheraton Stockholm is located in the Swedish capital's business district, with views of Lake Malaren, City Hall and the city's Old Town. The hotel's lobby area has been brightened using light-coloured marble, wood and leather, and also now features "Link@Sheraton", an area with several internet-enabled computer terminals available to guests 24 hours a day. This service was first introduced at the Sheraton Brussels property last year, and is gradually being rolled out across Europe, Africa and the Middle East, including the recently renovated Sheraton Istanbul Maslak.
Prices at the hotel start from £96 for an October stay.
