Concorde Hotels and Resorts has added a 19th hotel to its French portfolio, in Marseille, to open on September 1.The four-star Villa Massalia Concorde Marseille is located south of the city centre, overlooking the sea and around 35 minutes drive from the airport.
The hotel will have 140 rooms including: 67 superior rooms, 61 deluxe rooms, four junior suites, four business suites and four executive suites. Business and executive suites have home cinemas, private balconies and espresso machines. All rooms have
LCD TV screens, tea and coffee making facilities, and wifi connection.
There is a 24-hour business centre with printers and high speed internet access, while meeting options are extensive with 1000sqm of conference facilities, including eight meeting rooms and a 600sqm lounge, which opens out onto a terrace accommodating 500 people seated or 950 standing.
Villa Massalia will serve contemporary cuisine with a Mediterranean touch at its Yin Yang restaurant and cocktails at Chang'An bar. For leisure, the hotel has Spa Siwa with an indoor and outdoor pool, fitness studio, sauna and a Hammam.Concorde has two other hotels in the Provence Alpes Cote d'Azure region: The Martinez Hotel in Cannes and the Palais de la Mediterranee in Nice.
Marseille also welcomed the Radisson SAS Marseille in March this year. The 189-room new-build is in the city centre facing the old harbour. Following the typical Radisson SAS style, the rooms are divided into two categories: this time Provencal or African style. The hotel also has 10 meeting rooms, a fitness centre and pool and free high speed wired and wireless internet connection throughout the hotel.
