New LCY-Oslo route for SAS

4 Apr 2007 by business traveller

Scandinavian SAS has announced it will fly from London City (LCY) to Oslo from August 28. SAS will operate two flights a day between Monday and Friday with a single service on Sunday. The airline says the new service is to meet demand for stronger business links between London's financial district and Scandinavia.

Timings are geared more to the Norwegian than the UK market. Flights from LCY depart at 1040 and 2000 arriving in Oslo at 1355 and 2315. Inbound flights leave at 0850 and 1810 reaching LCY at 1010 and 1930. The Sunday service departs at 2000 from LCY with an inbound from Oslo at 1810. Fares start at £59 one-way. Flights are operated by BAe146s in a three class layout: business, premium economy and economy.

Says SAS's GM Lars-Ove Filipson, "SAS's London to Copenhagen and Stockholm services have proven exceptionally popular among London business travellers, especially those working in the Canary Wharf and City districts."
