Emirates to serve Houston non-stop from Dubai

8 Feb 2007 by business traveller

Emirates says it will add Houston to its US network at the end of the year.

The Texan oil capital will be served three times a week non-stop from Dubai starting December 3. The service will move to a daily frequency from February 1 next year.

Flight EK211 will depart Dubai at 0905 every Monday, Wednesday and Friday to arrive in Houston's George Bush Intercontinental airport at 1610 the same day. The return flight EK212 is scheduled to depart Houston a couple of hours later at 1825, to reach Dubai the next morning at 0735.

Emirates will be using a long-range version of the B777-200. Flight time from Dubai to Houston will be 17 hours, with a 15-hour transit for Houston-Dubai.

The Dubai-based carrier currently operates a single US service. Its Dubai-New York service operates three times a day.
