From April there will be new air services linking Edinburgh with Oslo and Glasgow with Stockholm.
The first of the new routes, operated by budget carrier Norwegian, begins on April 15. It is a three-times-a-week Edinburgh-Oslo link, which will operate every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Departure from Edinburgh is at 1150, arriving in Oslo's international airport at 1445. In the return direction, Norwegian's flight leaves at 1025 and reaches Edinburgh at 1120. Return fares typically start at £59.
The second new service is a twice-weekly link between Glasgow and Stockholm's main Arlanda airport with SAS. Flights may not be convenient for business people as they operate only on Monday and Friday, departing Glasgow at 1040 and arriving in Stockholm at 1355. On the way back the departure is from Stockholm at 0830, reaching Glasgow at 0950. Return fares from £98.
Existing air services to both cities are operated by Ryanair from Glasgow Prestwick. Each route is operated five times a week but flights go to Oslo Torp and Stockholm Skavsta.
