Qatar Airways announces A350 Adelaide service

13 Oct 2015 by GrahamSmith

Qatar Airways will launch a nonstop A350 service to Adelaide next year.

The Gulf carrier will commence the daily route on May 2, two months after it begins a daily B777-300ER service to Sydney on March 1 (see news, September 30).

Outbound service QR914 will depart Doha at 2055 and arrive in Adelaide at 1625 the next day. Return leg QR915 will leave Adelaide at 2130 and land in Doha at 0450 the next day.

Once the Adelaide route is up and running, Qatar Airways will be operating 28 weekly flights to four Australian cities (Melbourne, Perth, Sydney and Adelaide).

Akbar Al Baker, Qatar Airways CEO, said: "Our launching of flights to Adelaide and Sydney next year will provide even more choice for business travellers to Australia, and also provide a strategic air link for travellers from Adelaide to the rest of the world."

Qatar Airways will launch a dual A350 service to Munich on November 1 (see news, October 2).
