Emirates launches 'Hold My Fare' facility

17 Jun 2015 by GrahamSmith

Emirates passengers can now lock-in fares for up to 48 hours when booking online.

The "Hold My Fare" feature allows customers to keep their reservation for a "nominal fee" based on the booked route or destination.

Customers authorise the reservation on their credit card and receive the fee back if the tickets are paid for within 48 hours.

Thierry Antinori, Emirates' executive vice president and CCO, said: "With Hold My Fare, we are providing our customers added flexibility to firm up their travel plans at their own pace.

"Customers can finalise the details of their journey, organise accommodation with their travel companions or family with the peace of mind that their preferred flights won't sell out and that they are guaranteed that their fares will not be affected."

An option to select Hold My Fare is on the payment page at emirates.com. Am email confirming when the booking details will be held until it then sent out.

Last week, Emirates closed its lounge at London Heathrow Terminal 3 for four months so that refurbishment work can be carried out (see news, June 11).
