Flown to both Edinburgh and Athens this year on 767’s. Gate A10 every time. Nice aircraft, the only criticism I had was the small overhead lockers

The white wine today wasn’t great but just about drinkable. The wife stuck to the Champagne though.

As to the poor choice of magazines ? I’m reading the October edition of Business Traveller !

The Finnair lounge today stank of fish, they had Salmon Soup as one of the offerings…..but it was quiet

At least I was able to watch live coverage on Finnish TV of a domestic T20 cricket match being played in Finland !

Fair enough FDOS, but nearly all the passengers I see heading for the toilets on short haul flights are in the 20-50 age range

I can’t think when I have ever needed to use the toilets on a European short haul flight. Simply don’t drink too much beforehand or on the plane, and if necessary make sure you go before you board….

My only problem with the B767 is the smaller overhead lockers, compared to the A320. My Tumi fits nicely in the A320 but has to go in sideways on the B767

BA describe their Business Lounges as “calm and tranquil surroundings” and a “haven of peace and quiet”.

With families with 3 or 4 young children being allowed in it is unlikely to always be like that during this period…………

I recall towards the end of their existence BMI give free food and drink in economy if you produced a gold or silver status card.

I flew Vueling a couple of years ago. For a one hour flight it was bearable, but the outstanding memory is how cramped the seats were, and I spent the entire flight with my knees pressed against the seat in front. I am 5ft 11 so not particularly tall……

Not a good year as most of my travel was within the UK……

    Sectors : 79
    Airlines : 7 ( mostly BA )
New Airport : Dubrovnik & Ljubljana

    Best Airline : Tradewind Aviation
    Best Airport : St Barths

    Unfriendliest Airport Security : Antigua

Several years ago, I failed to reach the renewal level to maintain my gold status with KLM two years running, but they renewed it anyway both years……….
