    Your Passenger Rights – app

I came across this while looking round the app store, pretty cool and handy. Its by the European Commission to cover air and rail transport.

So if you get stranded stranded at an airport or awaiting missing luggage may now use this free app to check your rights immediately and on the spot.

The app is available on: Apple iPhone and iPad, Google Android, RIM Blackberry and Microsoft Windows Phone 7.

Just found another one. This would be good for you employers with staff out on the road.

“Safeguard is an App installed on a user’s smartphone, designed to enhance a user’s safety and visibility. It is specifically tailored towards Lone Workers, VIPs and Travellers requiring assistance and locating in the event of an emergency. ”

The app is available on: iPhone, Android, Blackberry and Windows mobile.

Another site I now find invaluable is sanebox.com

This has really helped me get my email under control and I’d be lost without it.

    LoungeBuddy

This is a great one for all of you who that need to know about the lounge you have never visited and need to know the opening hours, descriptions, amenities, how to get to it etc. It gives details of all airport lounges in over 200 airports around the world. It also does a load of other stuff but best if you just read up on the links below.

Currently only available on the iphone (Android version on the way) but still pretty cool and best of all free!!

    I really like PlaneFinder.

If you like aircraft you will too… see that plane flying over head? PlaneFinder will tell you where it’s going, its speed, altitude and where it’s from. And there’s usually a little gallery.

NIRscot…….must have a look at that app.

I use flightradar24 which I like a lot. Use when on flights with internet such as AA to track the flight I am on and post directly to social media.

Flight board is also excellent for arrival and departure information but also to see who operates into specific airports. Great planning tool.

A new app which after you tell it where and when you want to fly, claims it will notify you when it’s the cheapest time to book
