I can say hand on heart say that on BA longhaul flights that I have worked in the past fifteen years, I can easily count on one hand how many we’ve run out of champagne on.
On a 777 we carry 20 bottles for 48 seat config. On the 747 (mid J) it’s the same. On the 747 ‘high J) it’s 30 bottles.
RF, I am fascinated that the number of bottles of champagne seems to be in multiples of 10. When I buy the stuff (not often) it is in multiples of 12. Who gets the two left-over bottles in each case?
Process of elimination – Oman Air? (Given their 08:25 departure from LHR would also put you around IST at lunchtime).
Only heard good things about them in general though.
If not Oman Air, Gulf Air?
