Where do you think BA SHOULD start flying to?

    Further to my post of 10th May on this thread, I have just found this….

    so it looks like Comair will fly into Gatwick either as BA or Kulula.

    SO Now MH is joining Oneworld mayb all you posts dreams will now come true and BA and QF will start flying into KL .
    Also as SIN is a STAR hub ,mayb the long term oneworld aim is to turn KL into a oneworld hub along with HKG

    hmm id definetly like to see a 777 to Kuala Lumpur to save changing in singapore! Lots of business out there, surprised it hasnt come online already!

    I just thought I would add a little historical perspective to this thread.

    This is a listing of the BA intercontinental network, with frequencies and aircraft types, for the winter period 1977-78

    while here is the same for BEA´s 1972 summer schedule (note the few services out of Gatwick). This is just before its merger with BOAC to become BA.

    In those days BEA shared both the flight frequency and the income with the destination country´s flag carrier on the route. That way you could fly out on one airline and fly back on the other, if need be.
