AuldReekie39ParticipantDoes anyone know when the next BA WTP sale is? I am planning an open jaw trip in February 2012 from LHR-PVG(Shanghai) and MNL (Manila)-LHR or, in reverse order if there are cheaper options – booking WTP and using my BA miles to upgrade to CW. PVG to MNL would need to be by a local carrier or via HKG using CP.
Your feed back would be appreciated..

VintageKrugParticipantI would wait about two weeks and expect something to come along in mid July at the very latest; though there were some excellent flight+ hotel deals in the recent premium sale, which ended on 21 June.

VintageKrugParticipantPS I should add that if you can see CW MFU availability on this route, you would be best recommended to book immediately, as MFU availability disappears fast once a sale is out there.

AuldReekie39ParticipantMany thanks.
MFU?
I am a silver Executive Club member in Switzerland. Will I be able to assign seats without cost and gain miles and tier points by booking via http://www.quidco.com ?

VintageKrugParticipantMFU isn’t an expletive! 😉
It’s Miles for Upgrade – the process of purchasing an underlying base fare to which BA Miles can be used to upgrade to the next highest cabin, conditional on redemption availability.

….it may not work outside the UK as I think you need a UK bank account, but there may be a local equivalent cashback site in Switzerland.
Using quidco has no effect on booking functionality, mileage or TP earning.

AuldReekie39ParticipantMany thanks.
I have a UK bank account so it is not a problem.
Can you confirm the step-by-step process which I guess is:
1. Join Quidco.
2. Access BA web site via Quidco
3. Pay BA directly.
4. Quidco gets referral commission from BA and credits my bank account with a percentage of their commission.24 Jun 2011

BGIWorldTravellerParticipantBA normally has a “WORLD SALE” in July and one again in December. So I say, wait 2-3 weeks more.

VintageKrugParticipantCorrect.
The World Sale will be along shortly, hence the rather steep WT+ prices being seen for the next week or so.

continentalclubParticipantApologies – I should have updated this thread too.
Prior to the commencement of advertising, the fares are most easily found using the BA Low Fare Finder at:

AuldReekie39ParticipantMany thanks to you all.
When will the fares been loaded into the systemto enable booking?

continentalclubParticipantAuldReekie39 – the fares are loaded now. If you look at the fare finder here:
– and select your desired destination region and ‘World Traveller Plus’ from the drop down menu, then your fares will appear.
At this stage, there’s no specific flag to say ‘Sale’ – it’s just that the numbers have dropped by up to about 30% since a couple of days ago.
Tomorrow, there will be a proper landing page and the numbers will turn red. I wouldn’t delay however; I’ve already seen flights on popular holiday dates disappear as I’ve been watching this morning.
