If booked before end May, that was the BA exLON sale; the exEUR sale is now on, but no mention of any deals to BKK.

Below £1900 for the dates I need ex-Europe (Milan). Happy to go direct (from London), miles and tier points levels are sufficient and also in Germany the day before. Ex-Europe from Germany is £200 more..

I have never tried this on BA, only elsewhere, but can not see why it would not work.

if you know in advance that you will make several journies to the same place over a period of time, then it is often cheaper to book out from LHR say, with a return back to LHR on your final date, and to book the journies in-between starting at your destination and returning to LHR, so that your travel dates match what you want to do.

The price of return tickets at your destination, such as the US, has to be cheaper for a return starting from UK, but that is often the case.

I am sure someone must have done this by now, it is just that, with BA, I only know the theory, but have used it successfully elsewhere.

BA used to frown on this, not sure if they still do.
    They are called “nested fares”.
