    HI ALL

Does anyone know when the next BA sale will be – i unfortunately missed the last one and im looking totravel in Aug to the US and as usual the prices are crazy for Buisness – I remeber they did a flash sale in previous years — any info would be great as — all reward flights have gone ……… i know its last minute …..please help !!!!!!!!

There wont be any sales for travel in August, as they don’t need to boost sales for August as the flights will sell themselves.

While fewer capitals would be appreciated (!) let the forum know precisely when and where are you trying to travel, and we can see what options you have.

Here is a list of the recent sale fare prices so you have a benchmark against which to aim:

    hi Aug 2/3 – 14th

i thought the cheapest option would be London – Jfk as its the buisiest route and then i could get domestics — i have found some very cheap options — just getting to US — I am so annoyed with myself as the sale was only last week –

There is actually a sale from Europe till 12.Jun.
For example LHR-TXL or DUS for GBP 89 in ecco and than TXL-LHR-MIA // MIA-JFK// LHR-TXL for a total off 1879 Euro ( 1598 GBP)

or much better from Italy (Rome or Malpensa ) LHR- FCO or MXP for 149 GBP in Ecco and then FCO- ORD- MIA or FCO-JFK-MIA and back MIA-LHR-FCO or MXP for 1700 Euro ( 1450 BGP ) … with an option for a cheep Firstclass travel one way of additional 1000 euro ( total 2700 Euro = 2200 GBP )

for the Return-flight check your bags to London only

btw why not stay for one night in Berlin or in Rome??

Sorry, I think you have just missed it! We bought our flights in business class to Miami on 23 May, which was the last day of the sale. Saved about £1500. The first sale they had in March only offered a few dates to Miami, so I didn’t book and kept my fingers crossed for another one which I got. I also found it £1000 cheaper to fly into Miami and out of Tampa. The price of flights to US are dreadful this year arn’t they. Luckily, I have just ended up paying £500 more than last year for both of us.

The European sale is your best option, it ends on Wednesday 12 June. Don’t feel too hard done by about missing out on the exUK sale, as rtn fares to MIA were £2,400 in Club and £1504 to JFK.

On BA, your options are to fly from from Heathrow to Newark, New Jersey or from London to JFK using the following routings:

    Heathrow-JFK (mainline)
    London CIty- JFK (CWLCY A318)

In addition, there is the option of Open Skies which has an excellent Premium Economy offering:

    Paris Orly-JFK http://www.flyopenskies.com

To Florida, there are several services per day from Heathrow to Miami, and from Gatwick to both Tampa and Orlando.

For your connecting domestic flight to NYC, do consider smaller airports like Fort Lauderdale which can be a lot easier to negotiate than MIA.

Those other options aside, exEU fares are probably your best bet, with return prices around €2000 rtn (About £1700):

You should be able to get CWLCY for under £1500, the best rates I have seen are from Sweden.

Use a reward saver to get to your starting point, once you’re there you may as well do as Travelwave suggests and enjoy a day sightseeing in your chosen exEUR destination.

If you haven’t tried CWLCY, I’d recommend it.

Any rumours of a premium seat sale from the US to UK? Trying to buy my sister flights to visit family in November (SMF to GLA), ideally routing via LAX on the A380. Checked the recent seat sales but these seemed to be only ex-UK or Europe.

None as yet; I’m not very tuned in to US sales, but please let us know if you post any!

Which flights did you end up booking, SILENTSCOUSER?

The exEU sale ends today, link below is for exAMS but use ITA or play around with the URL for the other starting points.

Just booked another trip to BKK (on BA) for July and once again, its cheaper ex-London than ex-Europe.

I will be reviewing options after October when BA “DOWNGRADE” (an acceptable term) the 747 service to a 777. My view is there is a product / service difference between Club World (Bubble) and Club World (main deck) with the current dated Club World product.

Marvellous; what did you end up paying exLON?
