Managed to fly on one of Virgins’ new 737’s with Sky Interior from Brisbane to Sydney on this 1.5hr flight.

We were lucky enough to have seats 1A & B in Business Class after using points to upgrade. The aircraft interior looks fantastic and very modern, especially the clear purple perspex cabin divider behind business class ( only 2 rows ).

It’s a clever idea which not only makes the cabin look very “space age” but also lets economy passengers see what they are missing…..! We sat in economy on the way over and the seats are also very good but legroom felt tight and I think you always feel a bit more crammed in on a B737 than on an A320 due to the cabin width.

Anyway the new style Business Class service was impeccable for such a short journey.

Very attentive and personalised service, a full tray with salad starter and hot main meal choice ( an excellent, hot , fresh Thai Green Curry by Australian Chef Luke Mangan ) plus excellent wines served from FULL bottles.

The seats themselves were extremely comfortable and luxurious and the staff very very attentive.

Virgin Australia have definitely stepped up their game!
