This daytime flight was on one of Virgin’s couple of newer A332s which had the look and feel of a new plane.
Boarding was uneventful. We departed four minutes early and after the obligatory Perth Airport attaching of a tugh to bring us to the gate, we arrived seven minutes early. The bright cabin decor was enhanced by the excellent at seat entertainment that worked fauiltlessly.
To try to create competition on this popular long domestic route, VA (DJ at teh time I flew) has introduced full complimentary meals: the offering was quite good, complimented by a free bar service. Staff were friendly enough.
Overall, this was an excellent flight, preferable to flying QANTAS or the latter’s Jetstar subsidiary.
