    Hippocampus I was aware of the UA/LH agreement, I could just foresee much lobbying and special pleading from BA to prevent Virign being included in such an agreement. Would we see Virign/ LH/UA Way! on virgin tails….
    I can see the argument that it would interfere less with Delta than UA but the SQ tie up, the historic link with Continental and the other *A tie ups, I would still go *A but I see your argument.

    Virgin has already had talks with *A and I suspect the reason nothing has happened yet is because Virgin has not been prepared to join on *A’s terms.

    Either way, if joining an alliance is really important to Virgin thru should have made this decision nearly two years ago (bear in mind the lead time to actually join an alliance us 18+ months) rather than fight a futile campaign to stop the American & BA JV.
