Unusual story in the papers today which appears to have been embarrassing for Geneva Airport….

The young lady in question is obviously Captain material in the future – or a major criminal if they have those in Switzerland?
I think airlines will be happy to employ her in 11-20 years!

It wasn’t really the Swiss’s fault as she went through the French sector which is managed by French security rather than by the Swiss police, who manage Swiss security lines at Geneva and Zurich.

There were actually two small breaches lately at GVA airport, none of them being potentially dangerous, as in both cases, a full regular security check had been performed. The first one involved a passenger boarding the wrong place (two flights to the same destination next to each other, one of them being an Easyjet’s with their usual pre-boarding procedure that led to a leak between the two lines) and this one, with a child who managed to give the impression she was travelling with the passengers after or before her. Both cases generated a review of the process to make sure it would not happen again.
