Can anyone enlighten me from experience on the vaccine passport requirements to enter CH from the UK.

    The FCO website says

Switzerland will accept the UK’s proof of COVID-19 recovery and vaccination record. However a screenshot or a photo is not sufficient. Further information is available from the State Secretariat for Migration.

The State Secretariat for Migration then says

Proof of vaccination may take the form of a COVID-19 certificate. If the certificate has not yet been introduced, vaccination must be proven by another suitable document.

    which doesn’t help much.

So does the passport shown on the NHS app or the downloaded pdf on my phone suffice or can we print out the pdf or do we need to trouble our GP for official bits of paper?

So experience of anyone who’s recently entered CH from the UK appreciated.

Switzerland requires you to apply for the Swiss Covid Certificate if you do not have the EU certificate. According to the Swiss Tourism Board, “alternative proofs such as the NHS Certificate may not be taken into account during admission control”.

The Swiss Covid Certificate is needed to access bars, restaurants, museums and spas/fitness centres.

See a link to the application form here https://newsletter.gadmin.ch/t/r-l-trjidhid-babyklhk-h/
It can take up to five working days and the application costs CHF 30 for visitors to Switzerland.

    You will need to provide:
Information on your nationality or residency status in Switzerland (copy of passport/residence permit)
Confirmation of vaccination e.g. vaccination certificate
Reason for your stay in Switzerland, length of stay and details of where you’re staying
Proof of arrival in Switzerland (plane/train ticket or accommodation booking)

Having been to Switzerland a couple of weeks ago we found that taking a printout from the NHS confirmation is fine, the only issue is some places try to scan the QR code on their system and it is rejected

The Swiss pass only recognises one QR code per scan, and, because we have 2 QR codes for a complete dose their system will not recognise these.

Just take the printout …if you ask asked explain you have one QR code per jab

We had our vaccine in South Africa and converted it to the QR code by scanning the SA cert. and our ID’s and emailing it when we arrived. We were told 5 days but actually received it the next day as an email. We downloaded the Swiss Covid Cert app, scanned the code off the email and that was that. It’s accepted in Switzerland and the EU.

The Swiss Tourism Board has just confirmed that Switzerland now accepts the NHS Covid Certificate and travellers no longer need to purchase or transform the certificate into a Swiss or EU version. It adds that the NHS Covid Certificate needs to be “refreshed or printed as an updated version of the pass if generated before the 1 November 2021 for it to be accepted”.

I guess this is all part of the EU wide recognition of the NHS certificate this week. Pity that I just spent CHF30 last week for the Swiss certificate which arrived within days.
