Since it is very too difficult to enforce policing (may work in China!) the usage of laser pointers on approaching aircrafts, it it not possible to have some sort of shield for the laser beam installed in the cockpit? Much cheaper and more effective IF that can be done.
Seems to happen in the US as well. They clamp down heavily there.
