I am parking my car at T5, and then flying out from T3 on a BA codeshare using AA metal. Does anyone know the best way to get from T5 to T3? Do I check-in at T5 and transfer airside or is this not possible?

You’ll need to check-in landside at T3.

I generally get the tube in an effort to reduce my horrific carbon footprint, so only a handful of experiences using the car park.

There is a free shuttle Heathrow Express from T5 to T1,2,3 so you’d be better off using that. Every 15 mins at peak times.
