I see from a change to the timings that my inbound flight from CPT now arrives into DOH only 50 mins before my connection to AMS. I intend to travel on to BHD the same day on a BA reward saver ticket. Obviously the DOH connection is now quite tight. Question is, can it reasonably be done if everything is on time? QR only have one flight a day to AMS in March so if we miss the connection it will mean a missed day at work. Will ground staff be visible/helpful or better to now sort out an alternative to CDG or even LHR? Help!

Minimum connecting time for most QR to QR is 45 minutes so in theory it is doable – and the schedules normally have quite a lot of time built in for taxiing and so forth. So tight but can be done. Otherwise in event of missed connection coming back you don’t have EU261 to support you – but would have thought staff would be happy to put you on alternative flight. But not all airlines apply common sense on this.

Many thanks, sounds as if all is not lost! Fingers crossed.

Mostly there will be someone waiting at the gate as you get off to escort you to your next flight. It is tight when you have to go through transfer security.

A colleague travelling RUH-DOH-DXB with a 50 mins connection had a note highlighted on his boarding card.
