This insolvency of LEVEL Europe is the result of the mishandling of this brand from the beginning. Even the webpage is a confusing mess. It seems the brand was launched to do battle with Norwegian but has done a poor effort with it. I wonder what LEVEL will now do that Norwegian has come out of its shell to do battle again in mainland Europe. Nobody really knows what LEVEL is and to whom it answers.
This is the official communique hidden away in the inside pages of IAG – not clear communication at all.
IAG has its work cut out to make its mark again. Maybe Willy Walsh should leave sooner than later. Let someone else make an effort. The potential is there you just have to release it.

I am glad it’s not just me, but neither the product, nor the strategy, nor the objectives made any sense to me.
A stupid meaningless name too.18 Jun 2020
Sun Express (Germany) to close.
I realise this carrier was not aiming at the business user but the news is significant as Sun Express (Germany) was a JV between two heavyweights: Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines.
