Telephone call waiting time

    Having read about calls to Gold Line number going unanswered I called the AF Platinum/Premium line with some trepidation when I had a problem completing a flight booking on line.

    I was very pleasantly surprised when my call was answered after one ring, message to say that an agent would be with me shortly, and then within seconds the agent spoke with me! He already had my booking details in front of him, presumably my telephone number had been recognised by their ‘system’ and he knew who I was before he spoke to me. Very impressive if slightly spooky, a true ‘Big Brother’ moment.

    I explained the problem I had, he offered a solution, query resolved and booking completed very promptly, overall I was very pleased with my experience, especially as so many companies are still using the aftermath of Covid to offer a reduced service level.
