do people differentiate between taxes and fuel surcharges, seems to me that taxes arent actually that high, but it is the fuel surcharge element that is astronomical.

For example, BA business to LAX taxes are only £185, but the fuel surcharge is £295, but yet most people seem to blame the government, although I think it is mostly the airlines own problem.

    What do others think?

I think the fuel should be included in the fare, as a TAX to me goes to the government.
