Today Swiss announces its development plans at EuroAirport together with Lufthansa group partner British Midland International (bmi).

Now bmi will join forces with Swiss and step into the Basel market. Together, SWISS and bmi will grow notably from summer timetable 2011.

Swiss and bmi found a joint venture on all UK routes:bmi will operate new flights to London Heathrow and Manchester in codeshare with Swiss.

bmi will serve London Heathrow 3 times a weekday with optimum flight times for all passengers. London City by Swiss will be ceased.

Swiss and bmi will increase seat capacity at EuroAirport significantly due to bmi Airbus A319 with 144 seats.

LX together with Star Alliance partners offers most frequencies at EuroAirport. BSL also enjoys excellent connections to all LH group hubs.
