SAS has a microsite where it is documenting its recent promotion to the Gay/Lesbian community, and the celebration of two marriages by competition winners:

Not certain the honeymoon in the Ice Hotel is exactly the best place for nuptuals!

There’s meant to be a peak in the Northern Lights cycle in 2012, so it might be worth heading North for a visit:

I have just seen this on the BBC Travel programme, sitting on my lazy-boy armchain in Hong Kong and it’s all about chasing the “PINK CURRENCIES” as this segment is one of the most lucritive groungs.

As least SAS is progressive enough to lead the global travel industry ii welcoming this diverse group with great fanfare!

The Icehouse may just encourage this new couple of using their fire and passion towards each others and it is not a bad way of celebrating their new life together!

There have been other airlines with similar promotions…I recall Lufthansa and KLM…..

All three are European airlines. I wondered if Singapore Airlines would accept booking by these same-sex newly web couple to use their DOUBLE BED SUITE on their A380’s!

I also have my doubt if any of the US airlines would actually promo travel with such a market segment as they tend to be homofobic and on religious ground.

Actually, a quick google reveals US airlines have been leaders in marketing to niche communities for over a decade:

Where do you have the time to find all these out? Do you work at all?

Now all we need to see is the pink offer from the Gulf airlines.

Let’s not forget Air New Zealand who really pioneered this with their “Pink” Mardi Gras flights to/from Auckland.

Great to hear that and may be the ANZ Senior Captain will go that extra AIR MILE by tying the knot with a PINK RIBBON!
