PatJordanParticipantJust saw this :
In fairness, the new design looks quite pleasant. What do other posters think?

AMcWhirterParticipantIt’s a pity the independent.ie news piece never mentioned these important fact.
It’s dated 2014 (so there might have been changes) but a Daily Mail piece refers to 197 seats although 200 could be installed.
Seat pitch should be slightly more than 30 ins.
By having 197 seats (rather than 200) it means Ryanair can operate a flight without having to employ an extra crew member.

AMcWhirterParticipantLufthansa is taking delivery of new A320 neos (the rival to B737 Max) and, although not yet confirmed, it’s understood that the airline will sqeeze in an additional 12 seats.
This will increase the capacity from 168 to 180 seats. Details of seat pitch both in business and economy are currently unavailable.
Lufthansa has yet to produce a seating plan for the A320 neo.
Why am I telling you this ?
Because as noted above we will soon get to the stage where there will be little difference between conventional and budget carriers as regards to seat pitch.
Who would have thought this possible ?
